Paul Wharton

SCREENWRITER

About

Paul Wharton is a Liverpool-born screenwriter whose work explores how ordinary people behave under extraordinary pressure. With roots in a working-class community and frontline careers in both Her Majesty's Prison Service and the Fire Service, he brings lived experience to stories that cut through the noise — raw, grounded, and emotionally charged.Paul gravitates toward drama with moral weight and psychological grit, often drawing on themes of loyalty, survival, and human contradiction. He believes that the way people respond to pressure — whether with violence, silence, humour, or collapse — is where the best stories live.
